Use of cookies and other technologies

General

As part of the provision of our dealer portal, we use cookies and other technologies. With the following cookie notice, we provide you as a user of our website with additional information on data processing when using cookies and other technologies.

What are cookies and other technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a web server can store and read on your device (computer, smartphone or similar) using the web browser you use. Cookies contain individual alphanumeric strings that allow identification of the web browser you are using and may also contain information about user-oriented settings.

In addition to cookies, we use the following other technologies:

- With the so-called local storage technology, data is only stored locally, i.e. exclusively on your device and not on the web server, in the so-called local storage of your web browser. In contrast to cookies, the data stored by local storage technology has no expiration date and is not automatically deleted, but in principle you can delete this data yourself via your web browser. How to delete the data stored using local storage technology can be found in the instructions provided by your web browser manufacturer.

- In addition, we have integrated so-called tracking pixels (also: "pixels", "pixel tags" or "web beacons") on our website. Web beacons are small, usually invisible image files that are automatically loaded by a web server and can provide information about your web browser or terminal equipment as well as your use of our website. This information can in turn be used to create a profile, which is recognised when you visit our website again.

Necessary cookies and other technologies are those that are technically necessary for the functionality and to ensure the security and stability of our dealer portal and our information technology systems (e.g. load balancing) and, if applicable, those cookies and other technologies that store certain settings you have made, selected options or entered information until your web browser is closed at the latest (exception: Local Storage) to provide the function you want and request (e.g. login status). We do not use cookies or other technologies that enable us to track your behaviour as a user of our dealer portal.

Cookies are stored on your device, so you have control over cookies. If you do not want us to recognise your device, you can deactivate or delete cookies already stored on your device at any time – manually or automatically – and/or block the storage of cookies for the future by making the appropriate setting in your web browser software, e.g. "do not accept cookies" or similar. Most web browsers can also be configured in such a way that the storage of cookies is only accepted if you agree to this separately in individual cases. As a rule, the help function in the menu bar of your web browser will show you how to switch off or delete cookies that have already been stored and how to reject new cookies. For details on the options described, please refer to the instructions provided by your web browser manufacturer.

Please note that if you delete without blocking, required cookies and other technologies will be used again if you visit our dealer portal at a later time. Please also note that disabling, deleting or blocking required cookies and other technologies may affect the performance and functionality of our Dealer Portal and may make certain functions and features unavailable.
